They also provide woven woods, blinds and shutters. And custom wood hardware in a variety of sizes and finishes including gold leaf, silver leaf, tortoise shell, bamboo, stained, and painted and glazed, to name a few.
Sharon Coppede, owner, has been in the soft furnishings business for 29 years first starting in Plymouth, Mass. in 1982. Working out of her home while the children napped or after bedtime, she allowed her business to grow as her children grew.
As her family moved from state to state due to her husband's business, Sharon started again in each new location, learning more and more about the business of window treatments. By the time she got to Charlotte, the children were old enough for Sharon to open up a commercial workroom and expand to where Custom Window Treatments, Inc. is today.
